Hi, we are Nuno and Amy DeSousa, owner/operators of The Forked Tongue. Nuno is a retired Army veteran and I am a Social Worker by trade. We both love and enjoy reptiles, especially Ball Pythons and Bearded Dragons. Our business started with a funny story, so let me tell you about it. (read more) Nuno came to my rescue only to discover it was a corn snake, he was little so we kept him and named him Maytag because I found him on the dryer. Shortly after that Nuno surprised me with the cutest little bearded dragon, named him Kenmore. We enjoyed them so much as pets we decided to follow our passion, thus our business was born. Now our inventory has grown to 85 snakes and 21 bearded dragons and now we were blessed with 29 baby beardies. We look forward to the future and all the adventures to come.

Springs Forked Tongue guarantees that all animals purchased from us to be in perfect health upon arrival (showing no physical signs of illness), have the stated genetics upon purchase, and are correctly sexed.
Please open shipping boxes and inspect all animals immediately upon receipt of shipment. Springs Forked Tongue wants you to be happy with the animal(s) you receive. In the off chance there are any problems, we need to know about them right away. If you have any valid concerns regarding your order, Springs Forked Tongue must be notified (email, text, or phone call w voice mail) within 24 hours of receipt of your shipment to qualify for replacement or credit. All sales are final, credit will be awarded in exchange of a refund. We do NOT give cash refunds outside of stated guarantees. If the animal cannot be replaced, credit towards a similar type or similar value future purchase may be considered. Prices are subject to change without notice with the exception for which animals we have received a deposit.
Your Animal will NOT ship until the order, payment, & shipping information is confirmed.
Shipping is done Monday - Thursday and ONLY during proper weather conditions via FedEx overnight shipping. We prefer and suggest shipping to a FedEx hub but are happy to ship your animal to your door! When picking up your new animal from a FedEx hub you must do so within two hours or guarantees are nullified. If the incorrect shipping information is provided, guarantees are nullified.
In the off chance your animal is DOA, you must contact us within two hours upon receiving your animal. The receiving time will be determined by the delivery time provided by FedEx delivery tracking. An email or text message with a photo of the exact animal must be received within the 2 hour time frame or all guarantees are nullified.
